About a freelance web designer person who never really liked talking about himself but feels he should.
Experience has thought me that I am fairly unique amongst other freelance web designers in that I have managed to mix a family background in Programming and Project Management with a passion for Art, Design and Marketing. I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a good degree in Fine Art. Since then I have worked in may different creative roles on both sides of the digital divide. I have worked as a freelance stage designer, art exhibition organizer, camera man, lighting and sound technician, studio manager, designer, senior web designer, creative director ,freelance art director and freelance web designer over the years and am happy to turn my hand at most things where creativity and science collide.
I have worked in a commercial capacity online since 1995 where I started working for the Trinity News Paper Group, running their community and news web sites in the Northwest of England. Since then I have worked for web design agencies, publishers, social enterprises and blue chip companies throughout the world.
I'm a keen explorer of the world its music, literature philosophies peoples and cultures, I am a father of 3 children and purveyor of interesting facial hair, and collector and user of old broken photo makers.
Some of the moderately astute readers of this site will detect a crumbling of the laws of spelling and grammer, this is due to an over active creative hemisphere in my mind that interferes with the linguistic areas of my brain that often goes by the name of dyslexia or as my teachers used to call it 'sloppy and not paying attention' but we will leave them to their lazy diagnosis and move on.
I believe in doing the right thing at the expense of wealth fame and fortune, however if I can combine them all then I'll die a happy old man.
